Paper Bead Jewellery

Paper bead jewellery is made by industrious Ugandan women who create beautiful necklaces, bracelets and earrings from strips of colourful magazine paper. The paper is carefully cut into triangles and tightly rolled, then lightly varnished to create a durable bead that is really quite stunning. The beads are then strung to create the final piece of jewellery – each one as unique as the paper it comes from and the woman who made it.

Ki Kati ensures that the women are paid a fair price for their jewellery and is proud to present an ecologically sound, recycled range of products. All our necklaces fasten with metal clasps.
